The Rundown

Lucas Franco executed a perfect safety squeeze to drive in the first run of the inning. Colton Griffin followed with an RBI-single.

TCU added two big insurance runs in the eighth. With two on and two out, Cole Cramer dumped a single into right field to drive in two for an 8-2 lead.
Houston made some noise in the ninth, picking up a run on two hits. The Cougars had runners on the corners with nobody out when Tanner Sagouspe took over on the mound. He fanned all three batters he faced to lock up the 8-3 win.
