To Promote Health, Performance, Recovery & Immunity
To lead with integrity by providing the essential components of a comprehensive nutrition program to all athletes that will promote the enhancement of health, fitness, and sports performance, and will advance the profession of sports dietetics.
Nutrition is a vital aspect of sports performance. We believe that in order for an athlete to excel in the weight room or on their sport’s stage having optimal nutrition is a top priority. Proper daily and performance fueling provides the competitive advantage athletes need to pursue excellence.
The primary goal of the Sports Nutrition Department is to maximize the positive impact nutrition can have on performance through evidence-based education, medical nutrition therapy, food and supplement safety and quality, behavioral counseling, the use of sports science, engagement with other performance and sports medicine professionals, and building trusting relationships.

TCU opened its first athlete only dining facility in August of 2016. The Performance Athletics Dining (PAD) facility prides itself in providing the highest quality foods for athletes to enhance their physical & mental performance.
All menus are written by the TCU Sports Nutrition staff, in collaboration with a full-time Executive Chef, who work together to provide a diverse cuisine that best meets all our different types of athletes’ nutritional & performance needs.
The PAD serves as an area for communing & learning. As all athletes come together for a meal they will find education hanging throughout the facility & on their food labels that are created by dietitians to help guide them in choosing foods that best fit their individualized goals.
