The TCU Athletics Communications Office serves as the liaison between the Horned Frogs' 22 nationally-recognized sports and local, state and national media outlets. The staff works closely with the coaches, student-athletes and University to enhance the publicity efforts and showcase the accomplishments of TCU student-athletes in competition, the classroom and community. All interview requests with TCU student-athletes and coaches must be arranged through a member of the communications staff and, per NCAA guidelines, be given at least 24 hours notice. In addition to coordinating news conferences and interviews, TCU Athletics Communications is also responsible for running the social media accounts for each sport, maintaining the GoFrogs.com website and providing statistical and historical information to members of the media. TCU Athletics Communications also serves as liaisons for the Big 12 Conference and NCAA. Located in the nation's fifth-largest media market, TCU and its coaches and student-athletes are constantly in the spotlight and have garnered recognition and coverage from outlets around the country. |
