Equipment Services Overview
TCU Equipment Services is staffed by five full-time equipment managers and three graduate assistant equipment managers providing services for 21 Horned Frog athletic teams on a year-round basis. The equipment staff is dedicated to providing our student-athletes with top-notch equipment, while maintaining proper care, maintenance and accountability of all equipment to ensure each Horned Frog athlete is ready to perform at the highest level.
During the course of the year, TCU Equipment Services offers various student manager work experience that is practical as well as enjoyable. There are approximately 30-40 student managers working for the equipment department at any moment throughout the year. These student managers are assigned to specific duties based on their interest and availability. Some work closely with coaches and student-athletes of an assigned team, while others become our second pair of hands on the inside. All positions lead to unique and rewarding work experiences that garner the opportunity to learn the behind the scenes of athletics.
Equipment Room Goals
- Provide a safe environment for our student-athletes during practice and competition
- Implement the latest and most advanced equipment technology to aid in student-athlete safety and performance
- Maintain athletic equipment and apparel on a daily basis
