
TCU Powers Past Houston; Wins Series

The Rundown
Houston batted around and scored four times in the first, but TCU quickly responded with a three spot in the second to get back in the game. Nolan Traeger doubled home the first run of the inning. Silva cut the deficit to two with an infield single and Jack Bell's sacrifice fly made it a one-run game. Noah Franco's home run with one out in the third tied the game.
The Frogs grabbed the lead with two runs in the fourth. With two on, Sam Myers reached on a bunt single and Silva was able to score the go-ahead run on an errant throw to first. Isaac Cadena reached on a fielder's choice to make it a 6-4 game.
Houston flirted with tying the game in the fifth as it had the tying run on third with one out. Mason Brassfield struck out two around a pair of walks to leave the bases loaded.
Four runs crossed the plate in the sixth for the Frogs helped along by a walk, a hit batter and two errors. Cadena drove in his second run of the game on a ground out. Karson Bowen scored on an errant throw to the plate. Chase Brunson provided the only hit in the inning, an RBI single to make it a 9-5 game. The second error of the inning gifted TCU its 10th run of the game.
Cole Cramer drove in two runs in the seventh and Silva hit a two-out grand slam to account for the final score.
Louis Rodriguez (2-1) came on in relief of Noah Franco with one out in the first. He calmed things on the mound and turned in 3 2/3 shutout innings. He allowed two hits, walked one and struck out five. Kole Klecker earned a three inning save, giving up just two hits, walking one and striking out three.

4 – TCU trailed by four runs after the first inning. It's TCU's 13th come-from-behind win this season and the fourth time it has rallied from down four. It's the ninth comeback win after trailing by multiple runs this season.
