SAN MARCOS, Texas – A five run third was too much for TCU to overcome as it dropped an 8-4 decision at Texas State Tuesday night at Bobcat Ballpark. Austin Davis homered for the second straight game.

Austin Davis homered with two outs in the fourth, but Texas State responded with a two-run home run in the bottom of the inning to extend its lead to five, 7-2. A pair of two out walks helped the Bobcats pick up another run in the fifth to make it an 8-2 ballgame.
The Frogs scratched across two runs in the ninth to account for the final score. Cole Fontenelle and Logan Maxwell drove in the runs for the Frogs.
