
TCU's Jim Schlossnagle Completes Staff

Fort Worth, Texas - Head baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle has announced the hiring of Mike Dilley, who will assume the position of the Director of Baseball Operations. Heath Autrey has also joined the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant.
Dilley comes to TCU after one year as a volunteer assistant coach at UT-Arlington. While at UTA, Dilley was in charge of coaching the catchers and assisting with hitting instruction. He also served as the Mavericks' first-base coach during games. Prior to his time with the Mavericks, Dilley was an assistant coach at Dallas Baptist University. His responsibilities at DBU included working with the catchers, instructing the hitters and honing the team's defensive skills.
As a player, Dilley played his first two years of collegiate baseball at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind. Following his second season at Bethel, Dilley transferred to Dallas Baptist and was a two-year starter behind the plate. He helped lead the Patriots to two consecutive berths in the NAIA World Series, including a runner-up finish in 2000. Dilley graduated from DBU with a degree in kinesiology in 2001.
"I'm really excited about being a part of the coaching staff and the TCU baseball program,"Dilley said. "The program is definitely on its way up. Coach Schlossnagle is doing great things and I am excited to be a part of that. Coach Whitting and Coach Siegel are great coaches and I look forward to working with them as well."
Autrey comes to TCU with a strong background in baseball. Autrey has served as the head baseball coach in the Lancaster Independent School District as well as an English instructor for the last three years. He is also serving as an associate scout for the New York Yankees in North Texas. Prior to his time at Lancaster ISD, he was the assistant baseball coach at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas from 1997-2000. While at Navarro, Autrey served as the recruiting and facilities coordinator. Autrey has also served one year as an assistant coach at UT-Pan-American. Autrey graduated from UT-Pan-American in 1997 with a degree in kinesiology.
