Dallimore drives in six to lead the Frogs
The Rundown
Colton Griffin put a jolt into the Horned Frogs' offense with a lead-off home run in the first.
After a scoreless second, the Frogs offense exploded for 10 runs over the next two innings. Brady Dallimore's bases-clearing double put the Frogs in front 4-0. Jack Bell followed with a single to make it 5-0 after three.
Griffin opened the third with a double and scored two batters later on a Sawyer Strosnider double. With two outs and the bases loaded, Dallimore came through again, rocketing a double to right for a 9-0 lead. Bell kept the inning going with an RBI single and scored on Griffin's second hit of the frame to extend the advantage to 11-0.
The Frogs added a trio of runs in the sixth. Bell smoked a two-run home run into the bullpen for a 13-0 lead. Jack Arthur reached on a pinch-hit single and scored the 14th run of the game on a Cole Eaton base knock.
Houston broke up the shutout in the seventh with a pair of runs.
Zack James (6-0) continued his mound dominance, tossing five scoreless innings. He allowed just five base runners on three hits and two walks. No runner advanced beyond second base. James tallied two strikeouts in the game. Tommy LaPour made his return to the mound and pitched a scoreless sixth.
