
Frogs Excelling in Minor Leagues

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs are well represented around the Minor Leagues with 15 players currently playing professional baseball. Already this season five players have earned promotions within their organizations.
Jake Arrieta (Orioles) and Sam Demel (A's) began the season in Double A before earning promotions to the Triple A level where they continue to excel on the mound. Both Andrew Cashner (Cubs) and Bryan Kervin (Blue Jays) opened the season in Advanced A ball before earning a promotion to the Double A level. Finally, just nine games into his professional career, minor league newcomer, Matt Carpenter (Cardinals) earned a promotion from Short Season ball to the Cardinals Single A affiliate.
In total, the Frogs have seven players in Triple A, two in Double A, two in Advanced A ball, four in Single A, one in short season and one in rookie ball.
