
Davis Earns Freshman All-American Honors

Davis tabbed a first-team performer
FORT WORTH – TCU baseball's Lance Davis was tabbed an NCBWA First-Team Freshman All-American.
Davis put together a tremendous freshman campaign, leading the team with 80 innings pitched and 14 starts. He went 5-3 on the year with a 3.71 ERA. Of his 14 starts, he produced eight quality starts and tossed two complete games. He ranked second on the squad with 51 strikeouts and limited opponents to a .236 batting average against.
A second-team All- Big 12 performer, Davis was twice named the Big 12 Pitcher and Newcomer of the Week. The first honor came on March 23 after a seven inning shutout performance against UCF. He was also honored on May 18 after a complete-game shutout at No. 9 West Virginia.
Since arriving on campus in 2013, Kirk Saarloos has coached 23 athletes to Freshman All-American accolades.
