OMAHA, Neb. - TCU opens play in the 2016 College World Series Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. vs. Texas Tech on ESPNU.
TCU NOTABLES
• TCU improved to 4-1 all-time in the decisive game of the NCAA Super Regional with a 4-1 win at Texas A&M to advance to the College World Series.
• The Super Regional victory at Texas A&M marks the second time that the Frogs have advanced to the CWS on the road.

Only TCU and Florida have appeared in at least four of the last seven College World Series.
With their selection to the field of 64, the Horned Frogs are in elite company. TCU is one of just 12 programs nationally to appear in 12 of the last 13 regionals.
SURGING
Since dropping the first two games in the series at Baylor May 13-14, the Horned Frogs have been on a tear. TCU has won 14 of 16 games.
TCU has been solid in all three phases of the game with a .297 average, a 2.74 ERA and a .987 fielding percentage.
Luken Baker leads all hitters with a .409 average, six home runs and 16 RBIs. On the mound, Brian Howard is 3-0 in three starts, while Durbin Feltman is 2-0 with four saves.
MOUND PRESENCE
Since the start of the postseason, the pitching staff has found a groove. Brian Howard, Jared Janczak and Mitchell Traver have guided the Frogs to a 5-1 mark. All three have turned in starts of at least five innings. They have 36 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched and have issued just nine walks.
Conversely, the bullpen has been equally as good, allowing just two runs in 15 innings pitched with just three walks and nine strikeouts.
SPEED DEMONS
TCU leads the Big 12 and ranks 19th nationally with 95 stolen bases. The Frogs have only been caught stealing 21 times.
Over the last three seasons, TCU has swiped 306 bases, ranking eighth nationally over that time span.
With five more stolen bases, TCU will surpass the 100 stolen base mark for the second consecutive year, something that hasn't been done since the 1989-90 seasons.
WALK THIS WAY
TCU drew 14 walks in the Super Regional, bringing its season total to 305. It's the first time since the 1999 season that a TCU team has tallied over 300 walks in a season. It's only the fifth time in school history that TCU has drawn over 300 walks.
Austen Wade has been a big part of that walk total with 54 this season, a mark that ranks 11th nationally. He's three shy of tying the single season record set by Matt Curry in 2010. Luken Baker (44) and Josh Watson (42) are also big contributors in the walk category.
STREAKING
Luken Baker has made an art of reaching base, putting together a streak of 35 straight games of finding a way on. Since April 8, Baker has found a way on base one way or another. He's tallied a base hit in 29 of the 35 games and boasts a .519 on-base percentage and a .415 batting average.
This season, Baker ranks second in the Big 12 in batting average (.379) and leads the league in hits (88), RBIs (57) and on-base percentage (.488).
GOING DEEP
Home runs have played a huge part in TCU's success this season. The Frogs rank second in the Big 12 with 51. It's the first time since 2010 that TCU has surpassed the 50-home run mark. TCU hit a combined 54 home runs from 2013-2014. Josh Watson's 11 home runs pace the squad, while four others have contributed seven or more.
TCU has homered in 39 games this season and boasts a 33-6 record in those contests. When it hits two or more home runs in a game, the Frogs are 10-0.
DEFENSIVE PROWESS
From April 3-May 7, a stretch of 18 games, the Horned Frogs struggled defensively. They committed 27 errors over that stretch leading to an 11-7 record.
Over the last 16 games, TCU has committed just nine errors which has contributed to a 15-4 record. TCU is 23-5 this season when playing flawless defense.
