
Purple Evens Series; Wins 3-2

FORT WORTH - The Purple squad evened the three-game series at a game apiece with a 3-2 victory on Sunday night. The championship game is set for Wednesday afternoon.
Austen Wade drove in two of the three runs for the Purple squad, including the run that stood up as the game-winner in the fourth inning. Zach Humphrey's also contributed a double and drew a walk in three plate appearances. On the mound, the trio of Dalton Horton, Sean Wymer and Jared Janczak surrendered three runs on just five hits.
Ryan Merrill homered and doubled as part of a two-hit game for Purple. Josh Watson and Michael Landestoy also picked up two-hit games. On the mound, Brian Howard, Haylen Green and Cal Couglin held the White squad to a pair of runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts.
The final game of the Purple-White World Series is set for Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:45. The game is free and open to the public.
