White got a solid start on the mound from Mitchell Traver who tossed 4 2/3 innings of three-hit baseball. He allowed three runs, walked one and struck out four. The bullpen duo of Austin Boyles and Durbin Feltman held Purple to just one hit in the final 2 1/3 innings. Boyles retired all four batters he faced and tallied a pair of strikeouts, while Feltman worked around a lead-off single to pick up the save.
Offensively, White pounded out 10 hits. Nolan Brown finished with a pair of hits, scored two runs and stole a base. Connor Wanhanen went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Michael Landestoy's two hits went for extra bases. Mason Hesse collected a pair of RBIs as well.
A pair of home runs accounted for Purple's three runs. Ryan Johnson led off the second with a home run and Cam Warner hit a two-run shot in the fifth. On the mound, Jared Janczak retired all six batters he faced, including working out of a 2nd and 3rd with nobody out jam in the sixth inning.
Game five of the series is set for Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 3:30 p.m.
