Purple-White World Series Schedule Set

FORT WORTH – The dates and times for the annual Purple-White World Series to mark the conclusion of fall practice have been set. The series is slated to begin Friday afternoon and conclude on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Volunteer assistant coach Zach Etheredge will coach the White team, while student assistant Josh Elander will be in charge of the Purple squad.
Friday's series opener, which is scheduled for nine innings, is slated to begin at 4 pm. The pitching match-up will pit newcomer Rex Hill for Purple against White's Mitchell Traver.
Game two of the series, also a nine-inning affair, will take place Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The pitching matchup will feature a pair of newcomers. Luken Baker will take the mound for Purple and face White's Mitch Sewald
If weather affects any of the first two games, the game will be made up on Sunday at 1 p.m.
After an off day on Monday, the series is slated to resume Tuesday afternoon at 4 with a seven inning game. Dalton Horton will take the mound for Purple and face Sean Wymer.
The series concludes with two nine inning games beginning Friday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. and concluding on Saturday at 1 p.m. Pitching matchups will be announced later in the week.
All games are open to the public and free of charge.
