
Finnegan Earns Preseason Accolades

FORT WORTH - TCU baseball junior Brandon Finnegan was tabbed a Louisville Slugger third-team preseason All-American as selected by Collegiate Baseball. Finnegan is the second Horned Frog to earn preseason All-American recognition, joining Preston Morrison.
A 2013 Big 12 honorable mention performer, Finnegan led the Horned Frogs with 86 strikeouts in 79.1 innings pitched. In 16 appearances, he posted a 3.18 ERA and held opponents to a .257 batting average against. Finnegan spent the summer representing the USA as a member of the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. He went 3-1 with a 1.14 ERA in six appearances with the national team. Baseball America recently tagged Finnegan as the 13th ranked prospect for the upcoming 2014 MLB draft.
Morrison was recently named a third-team National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) preseason All-American. It marks the fourth consecutive year TCU has had a preseason All-American.
The 2014 campaign is fast approaching. TCU will open the season with a four-game homestand beginning Feb. 14 with a three-game series against Jacksonville.
