Game Notes:
• Axel Johnson tallied his first career hit in the 12th inning.
• Jason Coats' string of 120 straight starts was snapped. He did pinch hit in the eighth inning and stayed in the game.
• Kevin Allen has not allowed a run in 11 1/3 innings over eight appearances this season. He has surrendered just four hits and struck out 17.
• The five hits for Josh Elander are a career high. He previously had tallied four hits on three occasions.
• TCU improved to 2-0 in extra innings this season and 21-9 all-time under head coach Jim Schlossnagle.
