
Lockwood Tabbed Third-Team Preseason All-American

FORT WORTH, Texas - Coming off an impressive sophomore campaign, TCU Baseball junior right-handed pitcher Tyler Lockwood has been tabbed as a third-team preseason All-American by the NCBWA. Lockwood was a first-team all-conference performer in 2008.
In just his second season at TCU, Lockwood finished the campaign with a 7-2 record to go along with a 2.75 ERA. He made 17 appearances overall, 11 as a starter. In six appearances out of the bullpen, Lockwood had a miniscule 0.81 ERA in 28 1/3 innings pitched. The start of conference play marked Lockwood's debut in the starting rotation. He notched three complete games and led the team with 104 2/3 innings pitched with 71 strikeouts. He ranked 19th nationally in walks allowed with just 15, an average of 1.29 per nine innings pitched.
In his career, Lockwood has a 3.21 ERA in 43 appearances to go along with a 12-4 record.
