Baseball Opens Up Fall Workouts

Fort Worth, Texas - Head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced the upcoming fall schedule for the Horned Frog baseball squad. The team will begin practices on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The Frog's fall schedule runs through Oct. 26 and will be highlighted by the Purple and White World Series beginning Oct. 23. The team will take Monday's off throughout the month of October.
The fall practices will be the first chance for fans to see the new coaching staff in action. Nineteen members from the 2003 squad return, when the Horned Frogs finished 35-22 overall and second in Conference USA with a 22-8 record. Highlighting the returnees are Conference USA Pitcher of the Year, senior Clayton Jerome, and home run, classmate leader Chris Neuman. Twelve newcomers also join the team, led by draft picks Omar Arif and German Duran.
