TCU Volleyball Begins Big 12 Play at Iowa State
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball (6-4) travels to Ames, Iowa this weekend for its first Big 12 Conference series of the year, against Iowa State (8-3). The Horned Frogs will play the Cyclones twice this weekend, beginning on Friday at 6:30 p.m. before closing out the series on Saturday at 4 p.m. inside Hilton Coliseum.

A+ Rating From The Better Blocking Bureau
- TCU ranks 5th in the nation in blocks/set this season, averaging 3.17
- MyKayla Myers (1.51) and Madi Cole (1.51) are tied for the conference lead in blocks/set and rank No. 11 nationally in the category.
- McKenzie Nichols (1.06) is the only setter in Division I to be averaging more than 1.00 block/set.
- The Horned Frogs have made 4.0 blocks/set or better in three matches this season (vs. Nicholls, vs. UTRGV and vs. UIW), including setting the program record with 5.5 blocks/set last week vs. UIW (9/14/21).
- TCU has not had three such matches in the same season since 2015.
- The Horned Frogs are one of two teams in the nation - along with Louisville - with two players in the Top 15 - Myers & Cole
- They are on pace for the greatest blocking season in program history - current program for block/set in a season is 2.95 set in Coach Kramer's first season as coach - 2015.
- TCU's individual block/set record is held by Regan McGuire (1.54 in 2015). Myers and Cole are both close to that mark, averaging 1.51 this season.
- Cole has set two program records in the first 10 matches of her career: most blocks in a four-set match (12.0 vs. UIW) and most blocks in a collegiate debut (4.0 at No. 2 Wisconsin).
- Taylor Raiola and McKenzie Nichols have already surpassed their previous season-highs for blocks in a single season this year, with Myers entering the weekend just seven blocks from matching her career-high of 60, set last season.

- Senior Dani Dennison has been one of the most dependable players on the roster throughout her career.
- She has played in all 120 matches over her college career, starting a majority at libero.
- Dennison has reached 1,389 digs, the second most in program history and just 44 shy of tying the program record, held by Calli Corley
- Dennison is the first Horned Frog in program history to lead the team in total digs over three seasons (2017, 2019 and 2020/21).

Scouting the Opponent: Iowa State
- The Cyclones enter the weekend with an 8-3 record in non-conference play.
- ISU has achieved over 60 kills in three matches this season, winning all three. The Cyclones are currently second in the Big 12, averaging 13.66 kills/set.
- They are led by Eleanor Holthaus, with 3.29 kills/set. She is seventh in the Big 12 in points/set (3.95) thanks to her work on defense, where she delivers 1.03 blocks/set as well.
- Iowa State's libero, Marija Popovic, is second in the Big 12 in digs/set, averaging 4.37. She is one of four liberos in the conference to be averaging over 4 digs/set this year.
- This is the 19th all-time meeting between TCU and ISU. The Cyclones lead the series, 15-3. TCU is 1-7 all-time in Ames, with the lone win coming in 2016 (3-2 on Sept. 25).
