LEXINGTON, Ky. – TCU Volleyball's Becca Kelley was added to the Watch List of the 2026 Division I Player of the Year Award presented by Nike Volleyball, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced on Thursday.
Â
Kelley is one of 16 midseason additions to the watch list, joining the original 30 athletes selected by the AVCA Division I Women's Volleyball Awards Committee, including her teammate Evan Hendrix, who was named to the preseason list.
Â
The senior outside hitter has established herself as one of the Big 12's top attackers this season, ranking fifth in the conference with 4.24 kills per set. The Rockwall, Texas, native has already racked up a team-high 229 kills this year on a .298 hitting percentage and has set career-highs in kills (23 vs. Michigan) and digs (12 at Cincinnati).
Â
Already in 2026, she's been recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week twice. First after leading the Frogs to wins over No. 8 SMU and No. 14 Purdue on Sept. 8, and then a second time to close out the month of September after helping TCU extend its winning streak to nine matches and start 2-0 in conference play.
Â
It marks Kelley's second appearance on the AVCA Player of the Year Watch List after being added to the list at the halfway point last season.
Â
The watch list will be narrowed down to a group of semifinalists next month before the finalists are revealed. The Player of the Year will be crowned at the AVCA Awards Banquet in San Antonio on Dec. 18.
