FORT WORTH – No. 9 TCU volleyball kept rolling on Friday night, taking down Colorado 3-1 inside Schollmaier Arena to win its 10^th straight match.

The Horned Frogs (12-2, 3-0 Big 12) extended their winning streak to double digits, making it the second most consecutive wins in program history. The only longer winning streak came in 2010-11 when TCU strung together 15 victories. With the four-set win, the Frogs remain one of just three unbeaten teams in conference play along with No. 18 BYU and Iowa State.

TCU put on a defensive clinic against the top blocking team in the Big 12. The Frogs tallied 15.5 total blocks and forced 27 attack errors to hold Colorado to just a .114 hitting percentage. Kinsley Young played a large role in the win. The freshman was a force at the net, racking up 11 blocks to go along with 10 kills (.409 hitting) for her first career double-double. She is the first TCU middle blocker to record a double-double since Mykayla Myers in 2021 (10 kills and 10 blocks vs. WVU).

Becca Kelley led the Frogs offensively with 17 kills, while Evan Hendrix turned in another all-around performance with 16 kills, 12 digs and six blocks. Jalyn Gibson added eight kills on a .368 clip and four blocks. Setter Rosemary Archer guided the offense with 35 assists and added 13 digs for a double-double of her own. She helped the Frogs hit .271 as a team against the stingy Buffs' defense.

The two sides traded points throughout the opening set, battling through seven ties, before TCU started to string points together. Knotted at 15-15, Kelley helped the Frogs side out with a kill before the block took over. Young teamed up with Hendrix and Gibson on back-to-back stuffs before Kelley found the floor again to cap off a 4-0 run. TCU scored the final six points of the frame unanswered to close on a 10-2 run and take the opener, 25-17.

Colorado responded in the second. The Buffaloes took an 11-7 lead and eventually stretched it to 17-11. The Frogs battled back, cutting the deficit to 17-15, but came up just short as Colorado hung on to even the match with a 25-20 victory.

Tied at one set apiece, the Frogs went back to work defensively. Deadlocked at 11-11, Gibson sparked a 5-0 scoring run to shift the momentum in TCU's favor. Young added a pair of aces late in the set, and Kelley supplied the final kill at 25-17 as the Frogs held Colorado to just seven kills and a -.111 hitting percentage.

Trailing 5-2 early in the fourth, TCU quickly flipped the script. The Frogs responded with six straight points behind back-to-back Kelley kills and a pair of blocks to jump in front, 8-5. From there, the offense came alive behind Kelley and Hendrix, who continued to help TCU stretch its lead to as many as six. Colorado made one final push, managing to pull within three at 23-20, but Gibson answered before Hendrix slammed the door shut with match point to seal the fourth, 25-20.

The Frogs continue conference play at home on Sunday, Oct. 4, taking on UCF at 2 p.m. CT in Schollmaier Arena.
