MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After dropping the opening set, No. 11 TCU volleyball responded in a big way, taking down West Virginia 3-1 on Sunday afternoon inside Hope Coliseum.

The Horned Frogs (11-2, 2-0 Big 12) completed a perfect opening weekend of conference play to extend their winning streak to nine matches, tied for the second-longest winning streak in program history and the most consecutive wins since 2012.

TCU's outside duo of Becca Kelley and Evan Hendrix recorded their second consecutive double-double in the win. Kelley led the charge with 17 kills on a .368 hitting percentage and added 11 digs, while Hendrix finished with 14 kills and 11 digs. Setter Rosemary Archer also did the same with 34 assists and 15 digs.

Alice Volpe anchored the back row with a team-high 16 digs and was a weapon from the service line with three aces. De'Andrea McMillian provided a spark in the middle, finishing with a career-best six kills on just nine swings for a .556 clip while adding three blocks.

Coming off its highest-ranked win in school history over No. 9 Arizona State, West Virginia played with confidence in the first set, hanging with the Frogs before creating separation midway through the set. TCU tried to chip away late, but the Mountaineers closed things out with a 25-18 win.

TCU answered in the second set. Tied at 18, Lauren Murphy gave the Frogs the spark they'd been looking for. The senior put down a kill and followed with an ace to give TCU momentum and the lead. The Frogs kept pushing from there as Volpe added an ace at 23-20. Hendrix hammered down the final two points to even the match with a 25-22 victory.

West Virginia continued to fight, rattling off seven straight points to take a 10-5 edge in the third, but the Frogs refused to let the set get away. Trailing 12-9, TCU came alive with a 6-0 run of its own to grab the lead at the media timeout and never looked back. Kelley and Hendrix applied pressure down the stretch before Jalyn Gibson finished off the set with a kill to secure a 25-19 win.

The Frogs left no doubt in the fourth. Volpe helped spark an early 4-0 run from the service line to put TCU up 5-1. The lead continued to grow as Kelley and the offense came alive. Gibson put the Frogs up by 11 with a pair of late aces at 19-8, and McMillian slammed down match point off of Josie Valgus' first career assist to finish off the Mountaineers.

TCU returns to Schollmaier Arena on Friday, Oct. 2, for its Big 12 home opener against No. 21 Colorado.
