TCU Takes Home Big 12 Awards

Horned Frogs well represented among the league’s best
FORT WORTH – Coming off winning a Big 12 regular season title, the TCU women's soccer team earned a plethora of Big 12 yearly awards, the conference announced Tuesday.
TCU is tied for the conference lead in players honored with awards, as nine individuals took home honors. The Frogs had five members on the first team, which is tied for a conference-best mark, and three individuals on the second team, which leads the Big 12.
Head Coach Eric Bell earned his fourth Big 12 Coach of the Year honor and has won the award in back-to-back seasons for the second time in his TCU career. Bell guided TCU to a 9-1-1 Big 12 regular season record, leading to its second straight Big 12 regular season title and fourth crown in the last six seasons. The award marks the fifth time in program history a TCU head coach has been named coach of the year (David Rubinson - 1997, Bell - 2020, 2021, 2024)
Kamdyn Fuller, after an impressive first season in Fort Worth, was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. In her first career start, the freshman had a brace and an assist and earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors. She has started and played in 18 of 19 matches and has scored three goals, tallied five assists and spent 1303 minutes on the pitch.
Seven Castain was also tabbed the Big 12 Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year alongside two other players in the conference.
The five individuals who were named to the All-Big 12 First Team from TCU were Morgan Brown, Cameron Patton, Sydney Becerra, Kamdyn Fuller and Castain.
Becerra provided high-quality play at the midfield spot in her lone season in Fort Worth. Starting and playing in 16 matches, the senior five assists and four goals, with one of the most notable being her game-winning strike from outside the box to lead TCU past Kansas State.
Brown, a dynamic player who is able to play anywhere on the field, transitioned from the midfield to the defense in the middle of the season and did not lose a single step. She has scored three goals this year, all off of headers, and has earned four assists all while spending nearly 1500 minutes on the pitch.
Castain, who has put together one of the most illustrious careers in TCU women's soccer history, was a unanimous selection as she ranks among the top of the league for various offensive stats. For the year to date, the Draper, Utah, native has scored 12 goals, earned three assists and put up 65 shots with 34 of those being on goal, all while starting in all 19 matches.
Patton has been a mainstay in the TCU lineup this year. Starting in all 19 matches, the sophomore has guided TCU's back line to six shutouts while also scoring three goals and tallying seven assists. The Austin, Texas, native closed the season on an impressive note, posting a point in six of the final seven regular season matches.
Grace Coppinger, AJ Hennessey and Emma Yolinsky were the three players who represented TCU on the All-Big 12 Second Team.
Coppinger has been a dominant force along the back line for TCU this season. The senior leads the team in playing time, spending 1663 minutes on the pitch this season. Coppinger has started in all 19 matches, tallying four assists as well to go along with her contributions to the defensive strength of the team.
Hennessey has contributed 14 points for the Frogs throughout the 2025 season in 18 starts. The Norco, California, native has scored five goals and posted four assists while providing some heroics, such as the late game-winning goal over Texas A&M and the game-winning score against Houston to lead TCU to back-to-back Big 12 titles.
Yolinsky has produced a strong first campaign with TCU and has been an offensive catalyst for the Frogs in her 18 starts. The freshman has scored six goals throughout her opening season in Fort Worth and earned back-to-back Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors to conclude the regular season after securing a game-winning goal against Arizona and another score versus Houston.
Fuller was selected to the All-Freshman Team, and she was joined by Grace Vest and Yolinsky. Yolinsky was the only unanimous selection to the team out of the entire conference.
Vest has made an appearance in all 19 games so far in her freshman campaign for TCU. The Kansas City, Missouri, native scored her first career goal versus Oklahoma State, and has spent 644 minutes on the pitch helping TCU create numerous chances on the offensive end throughout her time playing.
TCU will await its NCAA Tournament seeding, as the full bracket is set to be revealed on Monday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m.
