Five Horned Frogs Named All-Big 12

Gracie Brian and Seven Castain earn first-team accolades
FORT WORTH - Gracie Brian and Seven Castain highlight a group of five TCU Horned Frogs honored as All-Big 12 selections. Brian and Castain both garnered All-Big 12 first-team honors.
The five selections were the third-most in the Big 12. In addition to Brian and Castain, Grace Coppinger, Olivia Hasler and Oli Pena were all recognized with All-Big 12 second-team honors. The three second-team selections were tied for the most in the Big 12.
Brian, a three-time All-Big 12 first-team selection, has started all 18 matches this year. On the year, Brian has netted a team-best eight goals. Against Big 12 competition, Brian has scored five goals and has notched two assists. She contributed to multiple goals once in Big 12 play.
Castain earns her first All-Big 12 honor after a strong sophomore season for the Horned Frogs. She ranks second on the team with seven goals. Against Big 12 competition, Castain has scored six goals which is tied for second in the league. Castain recorded two braces in Big 12 play this year.
Coppinger, the 2022 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, has been a mainstay on the TCU backline. She has played the entirety of 14 matches this season and netted one goal. Coppinger in Big 12 contests has played the entirety of eight matches. She has only been off the pitch for nine total minutes in league play. TCU ranked third in the league with five shutouts in conference action. She is second on the team in minutes played with 1,500.
Hasler, a 2022 All-Big 12 second-team selection, has been an anchor on the TCU backline. On the year, Hasler has two assists and has played the entirety of 11 matches. Against Big 12 competition, Hasler has recorded an assist and played the entirety of seven matches. TCU ranked third in the league with five shutouts in league play. Hasler leads the Horned Frogs with 1,567 minutes played.
Pena, a 2022 All-Big 12 second-team selection, has been a constant in the Horned Frog lineup, starting all 18 matches. Pena has scored one goal this season. Against Big 12 competition, Pena played the entirety of four matches and tallied one assist.
TCU returns to action Monday against UCF in the Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship. The game is slated to begin at 8 p.m. and will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
