FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs are looking to bounce back after a 4-0 road defeat at Alabama on Sunday. TCU bounced back from its previous loss at Wisconsin with a 4-0 sweep of Houston in the next match, a win that solidified TCU's program-record fifth consecutive home sweep.
Freshman Jade Otway leads the Frogs with eight overall victories this season, including an impressive 5-1 record in singles. Her efforts in the No. 4-6 positions have been critical in TCU's early season success.
Graduate senior Alisa Soloveva has been a staple of consistency at the No. 1 singles spot. She is 3-1 with one unfinished match this season after her last match was stopped while she was one serve in her third set at Alabama.
In doubles, the Horned Frogs are looking to bounce back after dropping only their second doubles point of the season last time out. TCU's No. 3 pairing of Addy Guevara and Isabel Pascual suffered their first loss of the season together in their last showing, falling to 4-1. TCU is 6-0 when winning doubles points and 0-2 when losing them this year.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
The No. 9-ranked Texas A&M Aggies enter the dual with a 11-1 record after going 2-1 in the ITA Team Indoor National Championships last weekend. The Aggies fell in the Round of 16 to No. 4 California, before defeating No. 17 Old Dominion and No. 10 USC in the consolation bracket. The Aggies are 1-0 against the Big 12 this season after punching their ticket to Indoor Nationals with a 4-0 victory over Texas Tech in the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
This will be the 44th all-time meeting between the two schools. Texas A&M holds a slight edge in the series, 22-21, and has won each of the last four meetings, dating back to 2015. TCU nearly pulled off the victory in Fort Worth last season, falling 4-3.
