LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 18 TCU volleyball hits the road for a pair of top-15 matchups at No. 6 Louisville and No. 14 Purdue.
TCU TIDBITS
• The Horned Frogs are coming off a five-set win over No. 8 SMU at home. It marks Williams' 15th ranked win as a head coach (fifth season).
• Four of TCU's first five opponents to start the season are ranked inside the top 15.
• Evan Hendrix has finished with 10+ kills in each of her last 25 matches dating back to last season.
• Alice Volpe has recorded double-digit digs in 22 consecutive matches dating back to last season, including a season-best 20 against No. 8 SMU.
• After suffering a season-ending ACL injury against No. 5 Penn State last September, Gibson is back for her fifth and final year of eligibility. She's averaging 2.36 kills per set so far this season.
• Frogs are averaging 3.45 blocks per set, the 10th best mark nationally.
• Gibson, Hendrix and Becca Kelley were voted to the Preseason All-Big 12 team by the league's head coaches. TCU's three selections are tied for the most of any school in the conference.

DFW'S TEAM
• It was a five-set battle for bragging rights in DFW between No. 18 TCU and No. 8 SMU on Wednesday night. The Frogs successfully defended their home court and picked up their first ranked win of the season.
• It also marks the Frogs' 15th ranked win under head coach Jason Williams, including the fourth time he's led his squad to victory over a top 10 team.
• TCU rallied after dropping the opening set to win 3-2 in front of over 2,000 fans on its brand new Taraflex court.
• The Frogs' attacking trio of Jalyn Gibson, Evan Hendrix and Becca Kelley combined for 47 of the team's 62 kills, hitting at a .306 clip.
• TCU also put up a dominant block, finishing with 19.5 stuffs, tied for the eighth most in a single match in school history.
RAISING THE ROOF
• While the Frogs returns three dynamic pins offensively, TCU has made its biggest impact at the net so far this season.
• The Frogs rank 10th nationally with 3.45 blocks per set through three games against strong competition.
• It is even more impressive considering TCU returned 43% of its blocks from a season ago, and had to replace both starting middles after Sarah Sylvester and Alexis Roberson graduated.
• Against No. 8 SMU, the Frogs racked up 19.5 blocks compared to just five from SMU and held the Mustangs to a .204 hitting percentage. Freshman Kinsley Young was dominant, tallying a career-high nine. Dee McMillian added seven blocks, and Reese Robins finished with five.

• Middle blocker Kinsley Young doesn't play like a freshman. Through her first three collegiate matches, the Southlake, Texas, product ranks 11th nationally with 1.91 blocks per set.
• In addition to her defense, Young also proved to be a weapon who can score in the middle. She's averaging 1.55 kills per set for the Frogs on a .250 clip.
• And although she's only three matches into her collegiate career, Young is already leaving her mark on the program. Her match-winning block against No. 8 SMU already ranks as one of the top moments in TCU volleyball history.
