Mark Campbell, Lanie Grant, Clara Silva and Jadyn Wooten to preview 2026-27 season
FORT WORTH – Lanie Grant, Clara Silva and Jadyn Wooten and head coach Mark Campbell will represent TCU at the Monster Energy Big 12 Basketball Media Days on Wednesday at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The annual preseason showcase offers media members and the league's broadcast partners an exclusive look into each team. This year, the conference combined its men's and women's media days, allowing schools to participate on the same day. TCU will be joined by Arizona, BYU and UCF during its session.
The day begins with a roundtable interview from 8:40-8:50 a.m. on the main stage featuring all four TCU attendees. The segment will air live on ESPN+. Campbell and Silva will join ESPNU from 12:20-12:40 p.m. to preview the 2026-27 season.
All three players and Campbell are available for pool and one-on-one interviews with local and national media in attendance. Breakout stations with the likes of CBS Sports, ESPN, FOX Sports, NBC Sports, SLAM, Turner and TuneIn Radio encompass the remainder of the morning. Players will also participate in a red-carpet fashion walk along with a series of photoshoots and social videos. New event enhancements include a cap customization station presented by New Era, The Monster Energy Lounge and the Big 12 Beauty Bar.
TCU will arrive in Kansas City as the highest-ranked team in the conference. The Horned Frogs debuted at No. 15 in the AP Top-25 and No. 16 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll. TCU was picked second in the Preseason Big 12 Coaches' Poll.
Silva was one of 10 players to earn Preseason All-Big 12 Team honors. The 6-7 center started all 38 games for TCU in 2025-26, helping TCU finish with a 32-6 overall record, repeat as the undisputed Big 12 regular season champions and reach the Elite Eight for the second straight year.
Wooten led the Big 12 in 2025-26 with a 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio as a sophomore at Oklahoma State. Alongside TCU's Olivia Miles, Wooten concluded last season as one of only three players in the country to average at least 12 points, five assists and three rebounds per game while shooting at least 49 percent from the floor.
Grant played two seasons for North Carolina before transferring to TCU. She averaged 10.8 points per game while shooting 42 percent from distance during the 2025-26 campaign. The 5-9 guard ranked second among all ACC players and 20th nationally in 3-point percentage.
TCU commences the 2026-27 campaign at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 against Oral Roberts. The Horned Frogs will play seven straight home games starting with the season-opener. TCU's 44-game home winning streak is the longest in college basketball.
