Horned Frogs Finalize Big 12 Schedule

TCU opens conference play on Dec. 20 against Cincinnati
FORT WORTH – TCU begins its bid for a third straight Big 12 regular season championship at the site of the longest home winning streak in college basketball.
The Horned Frogs open league play on Sunday, Dec. 20 against Cincinnati as the entire 18-game conference slate was revealed.
The Christmastime tilt vs. the Bearcats is one of nine Big 12 home affairs on the ledger. TCU and Schollmaier Arena, a venue the Horned Frogs have won 44 consecutive games inside, will host four reigning NCAA Tournament teams and all three of the program's in-state, inner-conference rivals.
The Horned Frogs' home matrix is highlighted by primetime matchups vs. West Virginia and Baylor, the runner-up and third place team in the 2026 Big 12 standings. TCU faces the Mountaineers on President's Day, Feb. 15, in a standalone game. The Frogs host Baylor on Jan. 14.
Four of TCU's first six conference games take place within the friendly confines of Fort Worth. Bridging the bouts vs. the Bearcats and Bears are back-to-back home contests opposite Texas Tech, which reached the second round of the Big Dance in 2026, and Utah on Jan. 2 and Jan. 6, respectively.
Baylor and West Virginia are two-of-three opponents TCU will twice face. The Horned Frogs venture to Morgantown on Jan. 10 in a game that is expected to go a long way in determining the conference champion. TCU's regular season finale goes down in Waco on Feb. 28 vs. Baylor
It will be the third time in as many years TCU concludes Big 12 play vs. the Bears. TCU won the undisputed 2025 and 2026 Big 12 regular season titles on the final day of the regular season at the expense of its oldest rival. The 2025 season-ending rivalry was the first winner-take-all game to determine the league's outright regular season champion.
TCU's third 2-play partner is Houston. The series starts on Feb. 7 in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs return the trip to Space City 13 days later.
The Frogs' remaining trio of home games are against BYU (Jan. 23), Colorado (Jan. 31) and UCF (Feb. 23).
Other notable road trips on the docket include a swing trip to the desert to face Arizona and Arizona State from Jan. 17-20, a standalone game in Stillwater on Jan. 28 vs. Oklahoma State and consecutive trips to the Jayhawk State on Feb. 4 and Feb. 10 to battle Kansas State and Kansas.
After breaking for the Christmas holiday, TCU's first away affair is Dec. 30 at Iowa State.
The Big 12 Tournament runs from March 3-7 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Like the past two seasons, all 16 teams qualify, with the top-four seeds earning a double bye into the quarterfinals.
TCU's schedule is now complete with the release of the Big 12 matchups. In total, the Horned Frogs will play 18 home games, starting with the season-opener on Nov. 3 against Oral Roberts.
Tipoff times and broadcast designations for all 32 games will be announced in the coming days.
