Kelley Tabbed Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – After leading TCU to a dominant start in conference play, Becca Kelley was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Kelley and the Horned Frogs went 2-0 over the opening weekend of Big 12 play with road wins over Cincinnati and West Virginia. She helped TCU extend its winning streak to nine matches, tied for the second-longest winning streak in program history and the most consecutive wins since 2012.

The senior averaged 5.07 points per set and 4.43 kills per set while hitting .348 across the two victories. Playing all six rotations, she recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the first time in her career.

In the Frogs' sweep of Cincinnati, Kelley finished with 14 kills on a .323 clip. She also totaled four blocks and a career-best 12 digs while helping hold the Bearcats to a .118 hitting percentage. It marked TCU's fifth straight win over Cincinnati.

Kelley followed it up with a 17-kill performance against West Virginia, hitting .368 in the victory. The Rockwall, Texas, native added 11 digs to post her third double-double of the season.

It marks Kelley's second Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honor this season after also earning the award on Sept. 8.

Kelley and No. 9 TCU open a three-match homestand on Friday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. CT with a top-25 matchup as it welcomes No. 24 Colorado to Schollmaier Arena.
