FORT WORTH – Heading into the final week of the regular season, No. 20 TCU volleyball is set to host No. 22 Baylor on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and travel to take on Houston on Saturday, Nov. 29.
TCU NOTABLES
• This season, the Horned Frogs have won a program record six contests against top-25 teams. Of their 28 matches played, half (14 matches) have been against ranked opponents.
• Over the last two seasons, TCU is 27-2 on its home court in Schollmaier Arena.
• In Big 12 play, sophomore Evan Hendrix leads the conference with 5.05 kills per set. Her 459 kills this year are the eighth most ever by a TCU player in a single season in school history.
• Last time out, Hendrix went off for a career-high 33 kills in the Frogs' win over Texas Tech.
• Sarah Sylvester owns three of the top 10 individual blocking seasons in TCU history. The senior's 136 blocks this year rank as the eighth most by a Frog. She finished with 138 in 2023 (seventh) and 146 in 2024 (fifth).
• With two regular season matches remaining, TCU looks to secure its fourth back-to-back 20-win season in program history.
SERIES HISTORY
• Baylor leads the all-time series with TCU 24-11; however, under Williams, the Frogs are 4-3, including 2-0 in Fort Worth.
• The last two meetings between the two teams have been decided in five sets.
• Earlier this season in Waco, the Bears earned the victory.
• TCU is 7-8 all-time against Houston and looking to even the series.
• The Frogs have won each of their last three against the Cougars, including the Sept. 24 meeting to open Big 12 play.
HOT HITTING
• Against Texas Tech, Evan Hendrix put the team on her back, racking up a career-high 33 kills in the five-set victory.
• Further, her 33 kills rank as the second most by any player in the Big 12 this season and fourth most by a Frog in school history.
• It marked the sophomore's second 30+ kill match of the season and ninth this year with at least 20.
SENIOR SENDOFF
• Last Saturday, TCU recognized its senior class of Ella Foti, Melanie McGann, Sarah Sylvester, Emily Van Groningen and Riley Weigelt.
• The five seniors have helped lead the Frogs to one of their most memorable seasons in school history, which has featured TCU's highest ranking ever as well as six wins over top-25 opponents.
• They look to continue to leave their legacy as the only senior class in program history to punch their tickets to four consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
HOME SWEET HOME
• With 13 wins in Schollmaier Arena this season, TCU looks to tie the single season program record for wins at home for the second straight season.
• TCU went 14-1 on its home court last season and is 27-2 since the start of the 2024 season.
• Further, Williams is 44-13 at home during his tenure as a head coach.
