Horned Frogs take on regional hosts for a trip to the Sweet 16
EUGENE, Ore. – Playing with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, No. 20 TCU takes on the Eugene Regional hosts No. 14 Oregon in a top-20 matchup on Friday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. CT inside Matthew Knight Arena.
TCU NOTABLES
• Friday's match marks the first-ever meeting between TCU and Oregon.
• For the third straight season and fifth time in program history, the Horned Frogs have advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
• Head coach Jason Williams is eyeing his third win over a ranked team in the NCAA Tournament and fourth this season.
• Melanie Parra racked up a three-set school record 24 kills in TCU's first round sweep of Hawaii. The senior topped her own mark set earlier this season.
• The Frogs recorded 10 blocks in their win over Hawaii, the ninth match this season with at least 10 rejections.
• Oregon transfer Becca Kelley will play against her former team. The rookie redshirted her freshman season with the Ducks last year.
