Frogs to Honor Aristegui on Sunday vs. Baylor
FORT WORTH: No. 61 TCU Women's tennis will wrap up their home schedule with two matches this weekend at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. On Friday, March 31, TCU will play No. 9 Texas at 2:30. Sunday, April 2 will conclude TCU's home schedule against the No. 40 Baylor Bears at 11:30 a.m.
Following the match on Sunday, TCU will honor the historic career of senior Mercedes Aristegui.
The Horned Frogs (9-5) have won each of their nine matches at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center and will look to defend home court once again this weekend.

As it stands, TCU has the No. 67 doubles team in the country with Helena Narmont and Yu-Chin Tsai. Captain Mercedes Aristegui improved her resume appearing in the latest ITA singles rankings coming in at No. 123 in the country with an overall record of 8-2. Earlier this year, she defeated the No. 73 ranked singles player leading her to Conference honors. She was named Big 12 player of the week on Feb. 7, the second of her career. Tiphanie Lemaitre also earned a ranked win, knocking off the No. 75 ranked singles player in the country against Alabama.
World Respect:
The TCU Women's Tennis program has multiple players currently sitting atop the world's best. Currently, the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has Lemaitre at No. 389 in the world for her doubles play. In singles, the transfer is No. 514 in the world. Aristegui has been recognized for her performance on a world stage with a top 1000 rank in singles at 983 and 1147 in doubles. Jade Otway holds a singles position of 940 in the world.
Scouting the Longhorns:
Texas comes into Fort Worth with a 15-3 record overall and a 5-1 record in conference play. The Longhorns have four top 125 singles players in the country and are led by No. 66 Charlotte Chavatipon who's gone 13-3 in dual match play this season, 5-1 in conference play. Texas currently holds two doubles teams in the latest ITA rankings. Mrleen Zein and Nicole Khrin are slotted at the No. 48 position while Chavatipon and Zeynalova hold the No, 41 spot as a duo.
Scouting the Bears:
The No. 40 Baylor Bears come into Fort Worth 11-10 on the season and 2-4 in Conference play. The Bears are led by their No. 96 singles player in Isabella Harvison and the No. 124 singles player Alina Shcherbinina.
