
TCU Hosts Two SEC Foes

The Horned Frogs will play Alabama and Ole Miss
FORT WORTH: The Horned Frogs are set to endure their toughest test of the season thus far with two home matches versus SEC opponents.
TCU (2-0) will face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, Feb. 4 at noon and the Ole Miss Rebels on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 1:00 p.m. Both matches will take place inside the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. Free Buffalo Bros pizza will be provided to all fans in attendance.

Last Time Out:
TCU recorded back-to-back sweeps to start the season against the likes of Northwestern State and UTSA. All Frogs head into the weekend unbeaten and have dropped just one set in singles and doubles. Destinee Martins and Yu-Chin Tsai saw their first spring action for the Frogs. Both have started out strong picking up two singles wins with each newcomer contributing in doubles as well making thier mark in their first action. TCU is poised to continue early season success.
Ranked Frogs:
Three Horned Frogs come into the 2023 season ranked among the world's best in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Rankings. Tiphanie Lemaitre currently ranks No. 531 in singles and No. 355 in doubles. Lemaitre is coming off a doubles tournament win at the Boca Raton 25K. Mercedes Aristegui ranks in the top 1000 singles players in the world at 972. Jade Otway finished as the runner-up at the W15 Wellington in Australia propelling her into world rankings. The sophomore slotted at No. 1060 to round out the Frogs in the WTA rankings.
Scouting the Crimson Tide:
Alabama entered the 2023 spring season following an appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2022. This season, Alabama (3-1) comes into Fort Worth following a 6-1 win against UC San Diego. In that match, the Tide won the doubles point with their only loss on the No. 3 court. In singles, the Tide swept the first five courts with the only loss coming on the No. 6 court. The Crimson Tide are led by the No. 75 ITA ranked singles player in the nation Petra Sedlackova.
Scouting the Rebels:
Ole Miss (3-0) departs to Fort Worth coming off a 5-2 win over the Memphis Tigers. The Rebels are led by two top 100 players in the nation. Sophomore Ludmila Kareisova started the season ranked No. 73 in the nation and Senior Lillian Gabrielsen is slotted at No. 89.
