The Horned Frogs take on Baylor for a berth in the NCAA Men’s Tennis Final Four
ORLANDO Fla. – No. 7 TCU men's tennis (19-7) is set to take on No. 2 Baylor (32-4) in the NCAA Division 1 Men's Quarterfinals on Thursday, May 20 at 1 p.m. CT from the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

TCU is playing in the NCAA Quarterfinals for the fourth time in the last six postseasons: 2015, '17, '19 and '21. The Horned Frogs are one of three teams remaining to have accomplished this feat, along with Florida and Georgia.
The Horned Frogs are one of three Big 12 schools still in the tournament and one of four Texas schools vying for a national title (Texas, Baylor and Texas A&M (SEC)).
TCU has five singles players ranked in the Oracle/ITA national polls, the second most in the field, behind only Texas A&M.
Luc Fomba became the third Horned Frog in the last four seasons to have earned Big 12 Player of the Year honors (also Alex Rybakov (2019) and Cameron Norrie (2017)). He becomes the first sophomore to earn the award since 2008 and just the fourth to win since the awards inception, in 1997.
After three rounds of the NCAA Tournament, TCU is 10-1 in singles matches, led by Tadeas Paroulek with a 3-0 record. Paroulek has won all six of his sets in NCAA Tournament play, including four sets by at least a 6-1 margin.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Horned Frogs are making their 31st appearance in the NCAA Tournament. They have advanced to the quarterfinals for the 11th time in program history, hoping to achieve their fifth NCAA Final Four berth.
TCU has reached the national semifinals four times: 1989, 1996, 2001 and 2015. The Horned Frogs are hoping to advance past the Final Four for the first time in program history this season.
The Horned Frogs are 17-6 all-time in NCAA Tournament matches under Head Coach David Roditi. TCU's six singles players enter this week with a combined 16-3 record in NCAA Tournament singles matches and a perfect 10-1 already, this year.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
No. 2 Baylor is playing in the Elite 8 for the third time in the last six seasons. The Bears lead the season series, 2-1. TCU took down Baylor indoors back on January 31 before falling outdoors in the regular season finale (April 18) and in the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament (April 25). TCU's Sander Jong is undefeated against the Bears this season, 3-0.
This is the 59th all-time meeting between TCU and Baylor, the Horned Frogs lead the all-time series, 35-23. This will be the fourth all-time NCAA Tournament meeting between the two schools with the last coming in 2003. TCU leads the postseason series against the Bear, 2-1/
