TCU Women’s Tennis adds one of the top junior prospects from Estonia
FORT WORTH -- TCU women's tennis welcomes Helena Narmont onto the 2021-22 roster. Head coach Lee Taylor Walker has signed Narmont following a strong junior career across the ITF tour.
"There was a great connection with Helena immediately," head coach Lee Taylor Walker said. "She's very transparent and clear on what she wants, as are we. She turned the negative of the pandemic into a positive- using the time to work hard, play tournaments where available, and achieve her WTA ranking- which all speaks to the type of person she is on and off the court. We are committed to continuing her development toward her dream of being a professional and playing for her Fed Cup Team in Estonia."
Narmont achieved a career-high WTA ranking of No. 1166 in January of this year, while posting her career-best No. 644 ITF junior ranking back in December.
"With Helena, we had an accelerated recruiting process because we resonated quickly on so many levels," assistant coach Christopher Williams said. "She is a driven student athlete with clear goals that we can help her with as a program. She will no doubt further our team culture in the right direction immediately. We can't wait to get her on campus."
