Norris and Kennedy Earn Big 12 Honors

Marie Norris named All-Big 12 singles and doubles; Kennedy named All-Big 12 doubles
FORT WORTH – Graduate senior Marie Norris and senior Stevie Kennedy were honored with All-Big 12 postseason awards the conference office announced Tuesday. Norris was awarded first team all-conference in singles while the doubles team of Norris and Kennedy were listed in the all-conference doubles second team.
Norris delivered her second career all-conference singles award and her first first-team honor this season by posting an impressive 19-6 record in singles play, including a 6-4 record against Big 12 foes. She set career highs this season in singles wins (21) overall victories (39), No. 1 singles wins (8) and 6-0 sets (six).
Norris and Kennedy were named to the 2nd team all-conference in doubles play. They won five matches together in eight matches this season including two ranked victories over SMU and Texas Tech, both at the No. 1 position.
