TCU to open fall slate in North Carolina
CARY, N.C. – A new season is just around the corner, as the TCU women's tennis program will open its fall slate at the ITA All-American Championships, running from September 19-27 in Cary, North Carolina.
A quartet of Horned Frogs will take their talents to North Carolina: Cristina Ramos Sierra, Cayetana Gay, Raquel Caballero Chica and Soffia Mykhailets.
Coming off a season which saw a newfound team success on the courts with the first Big 12 Tournament Championship in school history, TCU looks to continue off the positive program momentum and start off the individual slate strong.
Ramos Sierra and Gay will get started on the 19th in Cary, as both individuals will compete in prequalifying singles action and will also be the lone doubles pair to compete for TCU.
Caballero Chica was the sole Frog to earn a main draw singles selection, while newcomer Mykhailets will test her luck in qualifying singles play.
Last season at the All-American Championships, TCU had a trio of individuals compete, including senior Caballero Chica who picked up two singles victories during play.

ABOUT THE ITA ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
The ITA All-American Championships are the first of four fall championship events used to determine the NCAA Championships field. From the ITA All-American Championships, 10 singles players (eight quarterfinalists, two consolation finalists) and all four doubles semifinalists qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships on Nov. 17-22 in Athens, Georgia.
