TCU are coming off splitting a pair of Big 12 duals on the road against West Virginia (W, 5-2) and No. 43 Iowa State (L, 3-4) last weekend. The Horned Frogs are now more than halfway through the conference schedule and have proven to possess one of the most dangerous top three in the league.
Through five conference duals, TCU is 11-4 in the top three singles positions due to the efforts of Marie Norris, Tate Schroeder and Mercedes Aristegui. Norris and Aristegui lead the team with a 4-1 record in conference singles play, followed by Schroeder at 3-1.
Aristegui was named the No. 95 singles player in the nation earlier this week in the Oracle ITA Singles rankings.
TCU has been right in the thick of things in every conference dual this season. The Frogs are 15-15 in singles matches and 7-6 in doubles matches against Big 12 opponents.
Scouting the Opponents
No. 30 Oklahoma enters the weekend as the third-highest ranked team in the Big 12. The Sooners hold an 8-4 (0-2) record after dropping a pair of duals on the road last week to No. 11 Baylor and No. 2 Texas. TCU leads the all-time series, 22-17, despite Oklahoma winning the last three meeting.
No. 42 Oklahoma State will be playing in its second weekend of conference play after dropping both matches last weekend to No. 11 Baylor and No. 2 Texas. The Cowgirls have dropped four of their last five matches and enter the weekend with a 6-7 (0-2) record. They will play No. 32 Texas Tech on Friday before hosting the Frogs on Sunday. OSU leads the all-time series, 13-7. The Horned Frogs will be looking for their first win over OSU since the 2013 season.
