Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
On the game:
"First off, I'm happy we won. It was a very tactical game. Not a lot of opportunities for either team. We were fortune to come away with win in tough place to play. I'm proud of our group for finding a way to win."
On staying patient:
"It's hard to be patient. West Virginia's defense made it hard to play through them. We had to pick our moments. We were able to circulate the ball and take advantage of the opportunities we had. Overall, I thought we did a pretty good job staying with the plan."
On the play of Lauren Kellett and the team's defensive game:
"It starts with forwards and goes on to our back line. Lauren is in a good spot right now. She has been able to make the routine saves and come up with a big time save when she needs too. Overall, we were pretty organized. We didn't give up a lot of quality chances, most were from long distance, and we'll take those all day. Now we get back to the drawing board and get ready for Iowa State."
