The Horned Frog volleyball squad swept Campbell (30-27, 30-25, 30-19) in the morning tilt of a Saturday twinbill at the Molten/Fort Worth Plaza Invitational and extended its win streak to eight games.
Juniors Calli Corley and Anna Vaughn got the action rolling, combining for four aces in the early stages of the match. Vaughn continued to prove why she is a two-time all-conference selection, nailing six of the 14 Horned Frogs' kills in the game.
Campbell's Rachel Templin led the Camels' offensive attack with four kills and libero Crystal Sieber handled the defensive duties.
The Camels made every attempt to avoid the sweep, jumping out to a 13-9 lead in game three. Junior Agi Nemeth came into the match and drilled two kills, helping the Frogs weather the storm and went on to take the game 30-19.
Vaughn finished the match with 15 kills and Corley set a new career high with four aces.
Freshman Nirelle Hampton turned in a great outing, as she posted 37 assists, eight kills and six assists.
With the win, TCU improved to 8-2 on the season and will play its final match of the tournament against No. 5 Minnesota. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
