
Cetnik reaches doubles final in Matamoros

MATAMOROS, Mexico -- Ana Cetnik from the TCU women's tennis team advanced to the doubles final in an International Tennis Federation event in Matamoros, Mexico, on Friday. She and former collegiate partner Story Tweedie-Yates advanced against Lauren Barnikow and Raquel Kops-Jones when Barnikow went down with an injury. Barnikow and Kops-Jones were leading 2-1 in the first set.Kops-Jones, the No. 457-ranked player in the world, defeated Besovic in the quarterfinals of singles play in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Daniela Gallegos, who is the tournament's top seed with a No. 427 world ranking, registered a three-set win over Cetnik, 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 6-3.
