Leimbach reaches ITA All-American championship match

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- TCU women's tennis sophomore Nicole Leimbach advanced to the championship match in the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Saturday. She is the first Horned Frog in the history of the event to reach the final.
Leimbach, who is ranked No. 3 in the country, defeated Amanda Fink from Southern California in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5, in the semifinals. Before Leimbach, no Frog had ever advanced beyond the quarterfinals.
Leimbach will faced No. 5-ranked Daniela Bercek from Duke in the championship Sunday at noon PST. Leimbach has not dropped a set at the ITA All-American and has defeated three players ranked in the top 30 during the tournament.
