TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 7 ranked TCU women's soccer postseason came to an end as the Horned Frogs fell 1-0 to No. 22 Penn State in the Round of 32 at the Seminole Soccer Complex on Friday afternoon. Caroline Kelly and Cameron Patton both led the Frogs with three shots.
The Rundown
TCU possessed the ball for most of the opening 45 minutes as they entered the break with a 9-2 shot advantage.
Bella Diorio registered the Frogs' first shot of the contest in the 12th minute as she took a chance from just outside the 18 but missed high. The first shot on frame for the Frogs belonged to Cameron Patton but was stopped by the Penn State goalkeeper.
In the 36th minute, Sara Brocious had a great look at goal but the Penn State goalkeeper took a step to her right to make the save.
TCU dodged a bullet as Penn State scored just a minute into the second half, but it was called back upon review for being offsides. On the ensuing kick-off, Penn State broke the tie as Jordan Fusco led a charge toward goal and fed Kaitlyn MacBean inside the six-yard box. MacBean put the ball in the back of the net to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 lead.
TCU's best attacking chance came in the 58th minute as Caroline Kelly broke free and sprinted past the Nittany Lion back line. Her shot was blocked by a Penn State defender before it reached the keeper.

Thoughts on the game
"First of all congrats to Penn State and their staff. We created a lot of chances to be effective and score. We had the lion's share of the ball the entire time but that is soccer and that is how it went for us today."
