FORT WORTH – No. 6 TCU men's tennis (14-5, 3-0) begins its final week of regular season play with a Friday night road dual against No. 21 Texas Tech. Doubles play begins at 5 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The Horned Frogs enter this Friday's match with a 3-0 record in the Big 12, collecting wins over No. 7 Texas, No. 19 Oklahoma and No. 22 Oklahoma State. TCU is aiming for four victories in Big 12 play for the fourth time in the last five seasons, not counting 2020 when no conference matches were played.
TCU leads the country in road victories over ranked opponents, with eight. The Frogs have set a program record with those eight ranked road wins, with a chance to reset the mark against Texas Tech this Friday.
Five Horned Frogs enter the weekend with national singles rankings. Alastair Gray leads the group with his highest-ever ranking of No. 8. He is followed by Luc Fomba (No. 15), Sander Jong (No. 72), Tomas Jirousek (career-best No. 98) and Jake Fearnley (No. 116).
The doubles pairing of Fomba and Gray have broken into the national Top 5, coming in at No. 4. They are on track to become the first Top 5 doubles pairing at TCU since 1997 (Ashley Fisher and Jason Weir-Smith).
TCU is hoping to continue its run of dominance against Texas Tech. The Horned Frogs lead the all-time series, 39-6, including an active five-match winning streak. TCU is 12-4 all-time in Lubbock.
THE OPPONENT
The Red Raiders enter the weekend with a 12-4 (1-2) record. They are playing in their first home match since Feb. 28. The last 10 matches have come in either road or neutral locations with Tech posting an impressive 8-2 record in that stretch. TTU has not lost a home match this season, winning two matches over Abilene Christian and the Feb. 28 dual against Utah.
