TCU Can’t Overcome Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. –No. 41 TCU women's tennis (9-8, 3-4) suffered a 7-0 defeat at the hands of No. 42 Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Stillwater, Okla.
"Today's match, even though the score line is rough, was such a dramatic step in the right direction," head coach Lee Taylor Walker said. "We were in this match for three hours. I'm super proud of the team for battling back after Friday night and embracing the challenge. We're three players down right now. There are so many chances to get down and feel bad about ourselves and this team just refuses to let it affect them. They're hurting right now, as they should. When you put it all out there and come up short, it hurts. But this is a good kind of hurt. If we can get healthy and we can fight like that down the stretch, good things are going to happen. I'm pumped to spend this last month at home. We have SMU, Texas Tech, Texas and Baylor at home, down the stretch and we have to take it to them."
This is the first time this season TCU has been prevented from scoring a point, despite forcing three matches into a third set and having four sets decided by tiebreak.
