The sophomore is 7-0 over the last eight matches (currently on a 8-match win streak over the last nine matches). Jong has won those seven matches in four different spots in the lineup (three at No. 6, one at No. 5, two at No. 4 and one at No. 3) proving his versatility and talent level to be able to produce consistently up and down the lineup.
Other standouts during the streak include Luc Fomba (6-0) who is coming off of his first career victory at No. 1 singles on Sunday, and Alastair Gray. Gray has won five singles matches (5-0) during the win-streak, with four victories over ranked opponents. His individual ranking has climbed from No. 55 to its current spot, No. 30, with the results.
Bertus Kruger has been indispensable during the streak. He has won all five of his completed matches, three at No.6 and two at No. 5. His recovery from injury at the beginning of the season has helped stabilize the Horned Frog lineup and provide experience to a collection of young players on the TCU side of the court.
Kurger and Fomba have been dominant in double play. The duo is 8-0 in the team's win streak. The duo has helped TCU win seven of a possible eight doubles points in the streak. TCU is 15-5 in doubles matches over that span.
