TCU Remains Undefeated with Sweep

TCU scored its third straight sweep and moved to 3-0 on the season on Saturday.
FORT WORTH, Texas – the TCU volleyball team could not be stopped offensively as the Horned Frogs captured the Cowtown Classic presented by La Quinta title on Saturday evening with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-12) sweep of SIUE at The Rickel inside the University Recreation Center.
The Frogs (3-0) remained undefeated on the season with the sweep of the Cougars (0-3) as TCU had three players hit .500 or better in the match. The Frogs took the opening point and never looked back as the team put down 42 kills for a .382 hitting percentage and held SIUE to only 25 kills in the match and a .029 hitting clip.
Freshman élan McCall and senior Anna Walsh were named co-MVPs of the tournament as each put down 10 kills in the final match. McCall had 10 kills and no errors on 20 swings for a .500 clip, while Walsh had 10 kills on 16 swings with two errors for a .500 hitting percentage as well. Tori Dilfer also earned a spot on the all-tournament team after scoring the first double-double of her career with 33 assists and 10 digs against the Cougars.
