TCU will kick-off the 2018 season at home against UAB, Green Bay, SIUE and North Dakota.
FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU volleyball team will kick-off the 2018 season at home for the fourth straight season by hosting UAB, Green Bay and SIUE in the Cowtown Classic presented by La Quinta from Aug. 24-25 at The Rickel inside the University Recreation Center.
The Horned Frogs (0-0) will start their fourth season under the helm of Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer on Friday at 11 a.m., against the Blazers (0-0) before ending the day at 6 p.m., against the Phoenix (0-0). Tournament action will conclude on Saturday with a match against the Cougars (0-0), before the weekend ends with one more nonconference match against North Dakota on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m.

Fans unable to attend the matches can watch the first three matches against UAB, Green Bay and SIUE live on FOX Sports Southwest or FOX Sports Southwest Plus with Chuck LaMendola and Alexia Heist on the call for the matches.

Clear Bag Policy
Only the following items will be permitted upon entrance into TCU athletics facilities:
-Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
-One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
-One unopened bottle of water
-Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags
-The Small clutch bags must be approximately the size of a hand
-Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at stadium/arena gates
-Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags will not be allowed
Tickets
Tickets for the action this weekend will be available for purchase at the TCU Ticket Office located inside the Rec Center. Each day will be ticketed with adult tickets priced at $10 and youth tickets available for $5. For more ticket information, please call the ticket office at 817-257-FROG.

-The 2018 season marks the 23rd season in the history of the TCU Volleyball program
-This season also marks the fourth under the helm of alumni and Director of Volleyball Jill (Pape) Kramer

-Newcomers élan McCall and Katie Clark will look to make a big impact on the court as freshman as both were high school All-Americans
-The graduation of two senior setters leaves the responsibility resting solely on the shoulders of sophomore Tori Dilfer who stepped in near the end of last season and dished out 4.47 assists per set
-The back row is stacked with the return of libero Dani Dennison who finished near the top of the Big 12 with 4.58 digs per set along with the supporting cast of Berklie Baker and Lexi MacLean
-Redshirt sophomore Abigail Buckingham and sophomore Sarah Swanson also complete the offensive returners who were able to put down 13.25 kills per set
Recap: Texas A&M Exhibition
- A five-set victory over Texas A&M in an exhibition match marked the end of the 2018 preseason training for the TCU volleyball team
-The Horned Frogs had to overcome a slow start in the opening set and rallied to take the next two sets behind the hot hitting of freshman élan McCall and senior Anna Walsh
-The Aggies responded by taking the fourth set to force the decisive fifth set where TCU put down eight kills and a .353 hitting clip to go along with two service aces to take the victory
-McCall led TCU with 19 kills, a .356 hitting clip and seven digs in the match, while Walsh was good for 14 kills and a team-best 3.0 blocks
-Abigail Buckingham joined the double-digit club with 13 kills against the Aggies with Lexi MacLean leading the defensive efforts with 10 digs
-As a team, the Frogs were able to put down 57 kills in the match, while also serving up 10 aces
