Team Records, Game Notables and Series Information
• TCU improves to 12-8 on the season with a 4-5 mark in Big 12 Conference play. Iowa State falls to 11-8 on the season with a 3-5 mark in league play.
• TCU posted its second-ever win in Ames, Iowa over the Cyclones with the Frogs now 2-3 in Ames all-time.
• Iowa State now leads the all-time series 5-4.
Team Notes
• TCU closed the first half on a 17-2 run after an Iowa State three with 4:50 remaining in the first half.
• TCU hit 4-of-5 three-point field goals in the first half.
• TCU held the Cyclones to just 26.3 percent in the second quarter from the field and 31.3 percent from the field overall in the opening 20 minutes.
• TCU has won on the road three times this season, surpassing their total from a season ago.
• TCU has won twice on the road in league play, tying their total for the season from a year ago.
• Tonight's game was the first in a three-game road swing for the Frogs. TCU has remaining games at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma during the road swing.
Individual Notes
• Senior Zahna Medley had 22 points in the game and added six rebounds in the win. Medley dished out three assists and had no turnovers in 33 minutes. o Medley's basket in the opening minute of the game moved her into the top 30 in career scoring in Big 12 Conference history.
o Medley reached double figures for the 16th time this season and 87th time in her career.
• Sophomore Toree Thompson had a career high seven rebounds, besting her previous high of four.
• Sophomore AJ Alix had six second half points.
• Senior Caitlin Diaz tied her career best with 11 rebounds.
• Junior Jada Butts, in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game, had a season high 19 points. o Butts hit three three-point field goals, the most in a single game in her career, surpassing the two she had made on five previous occasions.
o Butts had 10 points in the opening half, converting on all four of her field goal attempts with two from three-point range.
o Butts reached double figures for the 12th time in her career and eighth time this season.
Coaching Notes
• In her second year at TCU, head coach Raegan Pebley is now 30-22 as the leader of the Horned Frogs. She is now 186-197 in 13 seasons as a head coach.
• Pebley is now 2-1 against Iowa State as the TCU head coach.
