The Opponent
Bradley comes into Friday's match-up boasting a 2-2 overall record after defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in its last outing, 52-38. Ka'Darryl Bell led the Braves in the contest with 12 points on 2-for-7 from the field, while Jermaine Morgan chipped in with 10 points. On the season, Bradley, who has won two-straight heading into Friday, has been carried by Omari Grier's 14.8 points per game. Backup Warren Jones has also been solid, averaging 12.5 points per contest and 4.8 boards a game.
The Series
The Horned Frogs and Braves will battle for the ninth time in program history Friday night. Bradley leads the all-time series, 5-3, but the Frogs have won two-straight, including a 74-68 decision in 2010. Prior to the 2010 meeting, TCU and the Braves last played in 1954. The Purple and White won the outing, 85-83.
Hitting the 20-Point Mark
Against Radford, Kyan Anderson tallied 23 points on 7-of-8 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from deep. With his 20-plus outing, Anderson has now accomplished that feat 18 times in his career. The senior has posted back-to-back 20-plus outings seven times during his career. He has scored 20 or more points in three-straight games four times in his four year career.
The Price Is Right
With his career-high 14-point outing against Radford, sophomore Hudson Price has now recorded back-to-back outings of double-digit points. In all, the son of NBA legend Mark Price is starting to make waves in TCU's offense. Through the past two games, Price has posted career-highs in points, field goals made and attempted, assists, and three-point field goals made and attempted.
Firing Out Of The Gate
TCU has outscored its first five opponents by a combined score of 48-15 in the first 4 minutes of action. During that span, the schools have gone a combined 5-for-23 from the field with eight turnovers. Against Washington State, the Frogs opened the contest on a 14-0 run. WSU didn't even score from the field until 15:52 showed on the clock.
Powering The Glass
TCU has now out-rebounded each of its first five opponents. The Frogs only out-rebounded the opposition a total of eight times through 31 games a year ago. The Frogs have totaled 214 boards through five games. It took the Purple and White seven games a year ago to hit that mark. After five games in 2013-14, TCU was only averaging 34.2 boards a game. This season, the Frogs are averaging 42.8 rebounds a contest after only five games.
Strong Out of the Gate
The Frogs haven't started a year 5-0 since going 9-0 to begin the 1997-98 campaign, which also happens to be the last time TCU made the NCAA Tournament. The last time the Frogs had opened their season, 4-0, came during the 2007-08 campaign.
Moving On Up
With his game-high 19-point outing this past Monday, senior Kyan Anderson had a special night as he moved into No. 13 all-time in scoring in program history, surpassing all-time greats Michael Strickland, Kevin Langford and Marquise Gainous. Anderson now has 1,260 points for his career. The returning all-conference honoree needs only 13 points to move into No. 12 all-time. He trails Malcolm Johnson who totaled 1,272 points between 1996-98.
